- Get 3 credits (ENGL3370) through class sessions with Dr. Robert Donahoo, expert in modern and contemporary drama of the British Isles
- Tour the iconic open-air theatre at Shakespeare’s Globe, enjoy tea at the classy “Swan Restaurant”, then see a performance as a “groundling”
- Visit the Theatre and Performance Collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum
- Take a day trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon to see Shakespeare’s birthplace and grave, tour the theatre of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and see a performance on their stage
- See a performance on an historic stage in London’s famous West End
- Tour the National Theatre, and attend a performance in one of their many theatrical spaces
- Enjoy plenty of free time to explore London and the surrounding areas
- Live with your peers in a London apartment
This program will be led by Dr. Robert Donahoo, in collaboration with a Performing Arts Abroad On-Site Program Coordinator (OPC). Dr. Donahoo is a professor of English at Sam Houston State University, where he specializes in Literary Theory and Criticism, and Drama. Dr. Donahoo has published many articles and won prestigious awards, such as a nearly $200,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. He received his B.A. from Baylor University, and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Duke University.
