The Business of Media

This module will give students a wide ranging introduction to how media and communication work to influence society as a whole: it will deliver an overview of the media eco-system, the inter-relationship between different media, media consumption patterns and the impact of technology on media and by extension on contemporary culture.
This module will lay the groundwork for the more detailed exploration of different aspects of the media environment, which is the focus of the subsequent modules, providing a secure foundation for students to build on.
