Design and Scenography

The module seeks to interrogate the function of stage design as a key compositional element of performance making. It provides an introduction to the visual and technical aspects of theatre production through study of the history, development, and practice of stage design and the work of key scenographic practitioners. This is explored through practical exercises, theatre visits, and individual fieldwork.
