London is filled with some of the world’s most diverse and celebrated dance groups, and offers more performing opportunities than can be imagined. Artistic inspiration is just around the corner and you’ll find ample opportunities for traditional, cultural, modern, and student dance troupes to showcase their work just beyond your doorstep. London provides abundant opportunities for challenge and excitement, and is a thriving metropolis that boasts world-class museums, restaurants, and shopping. With vibrant performances and arts groups throughout the city, it is truly a cosmopolitan culture and one that rewards exploration. Spend your semester strolling London’s majestic streets, visiting international icons such as Westminster Abbey, and becoming immersed in the uniquely British way of life.
Although London has a reputation as a rainy city, it actually receives less annual precipitation than Rome, Toulouse, Naples and Sydney! Summers are warm and occasionally hot. Winters are generally cool and damp with little variation in the temperature. Most of the rain happens during the winter. The average temperatures in the summer are 75F during the day and 60F at night. In the winter it is 47F during the day and 41F at night.
Spend the semester immersed in the life of a British student by living in student villages right on campus. You will have your own room in a six to eight bedroom house or dorm wing that you share with other British and international students. You will have a spacious common area as well as a full kitchen. Take advantage of this small group setting to build friendships and community while you study abroad. Classroom buildings, the student center, and restaurants are all nearby. Enjoy the independence of living in your own room while still creating lasting relationships with other students.
