Alec assists with HR tasks, especially timesheets and payroll, and managing the hiring process. He will probably be the first one to look at your resume if you apply to an open position!
Alec holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Gettysburg College and travels with an eclectic resume: in addition to bringing a passion for fair play and reasonable discourse, he has worked as a counselor at an outdoor program for at-risk youth, managed a specialty retail store, written two books, and helped Smith College create their first three online courses. Alec grew up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and mountains have served as his point of reference ever since; he has journeyed on the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to New Hampshire, hiked in the Swiss Alps, explored the mountains near Lucca, Italy, and even summited Mt. Olympus in Greece. Though most of Alec’s emotional and artistic expression comes in the form of writing or athletic endeavors, he has been known to give engaging presentations on topics ranging from prudent credit card use to space travel and humanity’s place in the universe, all while wearing a cheesy felt top hat with a moon and stars motif.
